Cum and take in the sights around Portage, Semen Sommelier and Jellyboobs will have a shitty trail to follow with some shitty beer. Shafted will take no part in setting trail so it should be shorter, however he will be providing as always a selection of craft beers, homemade lasagna (meat and no meat options), homemade chocolate chip cookies and some other stuff for you to enjoy at the On In. Hash cash will be standard $5.
We will have our two young boys at the house and will be sleeping at some point :-), so out of respect of the Hash please respect that and as always we have plenty of yard for people to setup a tent to crash in as well as floor space in the house for any hasher that is unable to safely venture home.
As you recall, this festival celebrates when NutFamer and Dribs flew TheColonel out of a Swedish insane (Or was it Norwegian?) asylum in 1924 using only a home-build hot-air balloon and firehose, one of the most daring escapes in Swedish history.
There are a number of hash events for this day and things start EARLY!</div>
7:00am (yes that fucking early) - Madison HHH Official Syttende Mai Run Water Station - near the corner of Rimrock Rd and Rusk Rd. Come down and hand out water. If your lucky, you might get a free volunteer shirt!
There are a number of post-water station options:
RUN from Water-to-Beer!! 9 miles along the Syttende Mai course starting at the Water Station to the Beer Station. NOTE: MH3 does not endorse banditing the course, but if caught disclose only your Nerd Name and hair color.
BIKE Water-to-Beer! a slightly faster/less-grueling option. We can work out post-hash bike transport back to Madison.
DRIVE Water-to-Brunch! a NutFarmer favorite....go catch a Bloody Mary and some chow while the other show-offs run/bike.
9:00am - Madison HHH Un-Official Syttende Mai Run Beer Station - mile 12, just past the turn from Schneider Dr to Hawkinson Rd. Wear a Red Dress! In the past, morels have been found in the brush nearby. Maybe test your luck!
Noon(ish) - On-In at the Col. Mustard compound in Stoughton - food, beer, ceremonies, hot-tub(bring a towel), sauna, games. Bring hash cash($5) and, optionally, a dessert dish to pass. Over-night camping is allowed/encouraged.
Location: 829 St. Hwy 138 South. Hwy 51 and Hwy 138 merge together at the west edge of Stoughton to form Main Street. Take this about .75 miles through town to the point where 138 turns south. Take this a little over a mile to 828, the driveway will be on your right.
3:00pm(ish?) - Pruno challenge if you actually remembered to make some this year!
If you forgot, Fear not! I’d Doer is planning some hashy style Beer-lympics! Just what we’ve been training for! Contact her for more deets or to help boss people around.
Medical personnel will be on site. Again, overnight camping is encouraged.
Location: The Biergarten at Olbrich Park, 3527 Atwood Ave, Madison, WI 53714
It’s Memorial Day weekend, so we’re going to hash Merica style! Trail should be dog friendly as long as they have tick prevention. On in will feature Foxy who can be a little dog aggressive at times, so no equally aggressive dogs. Even though this is Merica, vegan options will be available. Military recruiters will be on hand for new boots, so bring them along. Merica!
