Location: Taco Bell Cantina, 534 State St, Madison, WI 53703, USA
I've heard rumblings that the hash isn't classy enough... nevermind the rumbling was just my stomach. Come join the FMR at 7pm Thursday August 11th at the Taco Bell Cantina on State Street. Is a Baja Blast margarita an actual margarita? Irrelevant question! It has alcohol so who cares. I've heard rumors that there might even be some creamy Russian margarita's at the Edgewater that very same night.
It’s been tradition to drive up to Hurley, WI (home of the most strip clubs per capita of any city in the world! Or something like that…) on Friday and stay out all night at these before running the Paavo Marathon (https://raceroster.com/events/2022/57273/paavo-nurmi-marathon-2022) Saturday morning. Of note, there are marathon, half marathon, 5 person relay, and bike options if you aren’t Sammy or Nummy.
Then, we drive to Three Lakes and camp at ICUF’s and the Colonel’s cabin Saturday night before “competing” in their Running Bear Triathlon (https://www.active.com/three-lakes-wi/running/distance-running-races/running-bear-triathlon-2022) right in their back yard. This is a non traditional, beginner and non-swimmer friendly tri.
The hash for the weekend is any combination of these events, but there’s always a good ceremony Saturday at the cabin.
Since we won't be tubing this year I am not really sure what to call this hash. Maybe "Get Wet" weekend. Here's the proposed schedule:
Friday after 7 pm. Optional camp set up.
Tight - Pussy ranch: 5378 Reeve Rd, Mazomanie
Nothing formal but we will have a fire, hot tub and other activities available.
Saturday, 12 pm Run start at Lions Park Mazomanie. Gather in parking lot at the end of Walter Road.
3 pm Ceremonies, pool party (back at house)
6 pm Qdoba (catered)
Pool party, hot tub, fire, Karaoke (inside), Dancing (pool deck), other shenanigans
Plan to stay/camp
Sunday hangover hang-out at pool. Light breakfast and full lunch provided.
