There we were. The year was 2020, and we had no idea that a global pandemic was about to disrupt … well, actually, it was March of 2020, so we had a pretty good idea that having a St. Patrick’s Day party wasn’t the best plan, but no one has ever accused hashers of making good decisions.

Despite the fact that at least four people managed to either come with or contract Covid-19 at that very St. Patrick’s Day party in 2020, we all lived happily ever after and, as early adopters, we got a nice head start on immunity. Now, our annual St. Patrick’s day hash is no longer – it will always be St. Covid’s Day in our hearts and likely compromised lungs.

Wear green. Wear a lot of green. Do something fun with potatoes. There will be green beer, green wine, Creme de Menthe, and plenty of opportunities to kiss people because they’re Irish (with consent (the kissing, not being Irish)). Join us for one of Madison H3’s proud traditions!

2026 Details

St. Covid’s Day is typically held on the weekend nearest March 17. Stay tuned!
